Warwick Chamber of Trade news
Adam Davison kindly offered to represent our group at the Warwick Chamber of Trade meeting at the beginning of this month and has provided the following feedback from that meeting on the recruitment of new Police Commissioner, road closures and consultation on the Warwick Town Plan
- The details for the Q&A session with the candidates for Police Commissioner have been confirmed. The session will take place from 6pm onwards on Tuesday the 23rd October at Warwick Racecourse. All WarwickWorks members are invited to attend. If you plan to attend, it would be helpful if you could drop an email to email@example.com as this would help them get a rough idea of numbers (but if you make a late decision and don’t have time to do this, don’t worry). Please note that this will be a business focussed event. There will be other sessions organised elsewhere to focus on more domestic issues.
- The council appears to have decided on the week between the 2 mops (21st or 22nd to 25th October) to carry out the neccessary remedial work on the raised platform at the High Street / Church Street road junction. The High Street will be closed during this period and diversions in place. On the subject of closed roads, Severn Trent have advised that their work on Emscote Road is on schedule to finish by the 5th November and might even finish early.
